Accession consists of textual files and photographs relating to various building projects undertaken by Public Works' Winnipeg office.
The textual component of this accession consists of of project files concerning various First Nations building projects undertaken in Manitoba and the Northwest Territories, predominantly for Health and Welare Canada and the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development..
The photographic component of this accession consists predominantly of 8"x10" black-and-white photographs as well as a small number of 3.5"x5" colour photographs documenting various building projects in Manitoba undertaken by Public Works on behalf of other government departments (inclusive date range unknown). The photographs are arranged alphabetically in separate files by location of building project(ex: Altona to Winnipeg), and photographs are placed in letter-size envelopes in each file. Project information (name, phase, date, etc.) is written in pencil on the back of the photograph or typed on paper and attached to photograph. Unfortunately, the photographs are not cross-referenced to a project file number.
