The series consists of correspondence and memoranda, including notes, teaching schedules, reports and briefs, and clippings, including some placed loosely in scrapbooks, relating to Aba Bayefsky's teaching career at the Ontario College of Art and his involvement with the OCA Faculty Association. Of particular interest is the material documenting his embroilment in the controversy over changes to the curriculum 1967, his dismissal, and that of Eric Freifeld, and the subsequent confrontation between the administration, led by Sydney Watson, and the student body and faculty. Included are letters of support, with one from Bora Laskin 1968, and extensive newspaper clippings about the controversy. Also of interest is a document containing the signatures of the Faculty Association members, including Bayefsky, Alan Collier, Fred Hagan, John Alfsen, etc.

Additional material in the series consists of correspondence and memoranda largely relating to Aba Bayefsky's fight with the college against mandatory retirement at age 65. Also included is a letter to OCA's president Roy Ascott from Bayefsky, 1971, suggesting the establishment of a Canadian Studies programme. There is also correspondence and memoranda re. Bayefsky's reaction to what he perceived to be nepotism at the college 1983-1984.
