Igor Stravinsky works at a desk in a cloistered hall with the music from his composition "Petrouchka" tracked over.~FESTIVAL, 22 December 1968, the National Ballet's performance of Serge Prokofiev's CINDERELLA. Includes opening titles, the climactic pas de deux, part of the closing, and the FESTIVAL logo. Produced and directed by Norman Campbell with Veronica Tennant, Jeremy Blanton, and Louis Smith. (Colour).~FESTIVAL, 3 March 1965, THE DUKE. A special on jazz musician Duke Ellington. Includes the opening titles and opening number with Ellington on piano and his band. Ellington introduces the special "Banquet Theme" he wrote for the Stratford Festival production of Timons of Athen. FESTIVAL actors then mime the banquet while he and his musicians surround them and play the theme. (Black and white).~FESTIVAL, 19 October 1966, PRELUDE TO EXPO. Jazz pianist Oscar Peterson plays on the roof of the Habitat building at Expo 67, and subsequently his music is played over film, from air and ground, of Expo being built. Folksinger Gordon Lightfoot is shown walking around the site while singing and playing "Early Morning Rain". (Black and white).~KING OF KENSINGTON. The conclusion of the episode JOY OF KENSINGTON, 1975, dealing with sexual problems. With Al Waxman and Fiona Reid. (Colour).~KING OF KENSINGTON, 1976, THE DETROIT STORY. Lengthy piece of the funeral of a friend of Larry's in Detroit. Larry has to give a short eulogy over the coffin, and a fight develops over Canadian-American relations which is ended by a stickup. Includes closing credits and a brief clip of the opening scene. With Al Waxman, Fiona Reid, and Dave Thomas as the clergyman. (Colour).~MUSIC CANADA, 12 March 1967, THE THIRTIES. Modern performances of 1930s songs; reminiscences of his childhood from host Patrick Watson; and period footage of the 1930s including old cars, prohibition, and breadlines. Includes opening, titles, and closing credits. Billy Van sing "I Concentrate on You" accompanied by Mart Kenney and his orchestra. Norma Locke also sings.
