Radio program featuring statements by representatives of peace organizations and groups advocating international cooperation. Speaking from Washington, D.C. is Lord Robert Cecil, President of the League of Nations Union in Britain; from Paris, France is M. Pierre Cot, President of Rassemblement Universal de la paix, and French Air Force Minister (translated from French into English); and from Oxford, England is Professor Gilbert Murray. Also heard are: Robert B. Inch, National Secretary of the League of Nations Society in Canada; and Clarke M. [Michaelberger], Director of the World Economic Cooperation Campaign of the National Peace Conference, and Director of the League of Nations Association in the United States. In their messages, the speakers address the following issues: the benefits of international economic cooperation; the dangers of commercial competition; strategies for promoting peace, including economic and social measures; democracy and dictatorship; and the threat of conflict spurred by economic chauvinism. Comments are also made by Robert Inch and Pierre Cot regarding the present atmosphere of malaise and the threat to world peace posed by the indiscriminate sale of weapons to aggressive nations. Cox alludes also to the building of a French aeronautics industry. <1h>
