Rockett, Beverley : Born in Toronto, Rockett was educated at Bishop Strachan School, Branksome Hall, Ontario College of Art. Her fashion photography has appeared in Mayfair, Saturday Night, Star Weekly, Weekend Magazine, Macleans and Chatelaine.

Beginning her career as an actress and model, Rockett (née Ford) moved into photography while married to Paul Rockett, from whom she received training in fashion photography. Retaining her ex-husband's name, Rockett became one of the most successful Toronto-based fashion photographers during the 1960s-1980s, her work appearing in national magazines such as Mayfair, Chatelaine, Macleans, Star Weekly, Saturday Night and Weekend Magazine on a regular basis. Rockett also worked as a still photographer for television and film productions including six feature films.

Rockett was later married to John Roberts, the Liberal Minister of Parliament who subsequently became the Secretary of State from 1976-1979. This fonds contains photography used in Roberts' campaigns, as well as portraits of Roberts and images of activities with his constituents.

In the early 80s, Rockett became the Fashion and Beauty Editor of City Woman, winning the National Magazine Awards (Gold and Silver) from 1981-1984. She had previously won a Canadian Council for the Arts grant in which she explored Anna Beauchamp's choreography in a project entitled "Women in Motion" (1975).

After the 1980s, Rockett moved into portraiture and was commissioned by many notable individuals including Adrienne Clarkson, Isabelle Bassett, David Peterson, Marilyn Brooks and others.
