Saskatchewan Valley and Manitoba Land Company : The Saskatchewan Valley and Manitoba Land Company was incorporated in 1903 by a group of land promoters, headed by Col. A.D. Davidson and A.D. McRae. It signed an agreement with Mackenzie and Mann whereby 911,161 acres of land which had been granted to the Canadian Northern were assigned to the land company, which undertook to sell them, returning a proportion of the proceeds to the railway. On 1 July 1905 the agreement terminated and 210,800 acres of unsold land was returned to the railway which from then on sold them directly or through Davidson and Mcrae. Although not part of the Canadian Northern system, the railway retained many of the company's records. RG30 General Inventory
