Cincinnati, Saginaw and Mackinaw Railroad Company : The Cincinnati, Saginaw and Mackinaw Railroad Company was originally the Toledo, Saginaw and Mackinaw Railroad Company which was incorporated in 1887 and between 23 October 1888 and 11 January 1890 constructed and opened for traffic 58.89 miles of railway between Durand, Saginaw and Bay City, all in Michigan. On 28 December 1889 the Cincinnati, Saginaw and Mackinaw Railroad Company was incorporated under the laws of the state of Michigan and on 31 December 1889 obtained the property of its corporate predecessor. On 1 November 1890 the Grand Trunk took over operation of the line, the Chicago and Grand Trunk being directly responsible for the operation. Between 1900 and 1928 the Grand Trunk and its successors obtained the total stock of this railway. Effective 1 January 1943 the entire property rights and franchises of the Cincinnati, Saginaw and Mackinaw Railroad Company were passed to the Grand Trunk Western Railroad Company and on 13 June 1944 the former company was dissolved.
