Sub-series contains the corporate minutebooks of the Anglo Italian & Hubbard Ltd., the Hubbard Felt Company Limited and Hubbard Dyers Limited. The minutebooks offer useful insights into the operations of the company, and document the corporate turmoil caused by the Second World War. Financial records include the financial statements of Hubbard Dyers Ltd. in the early 1970s.

Anglo Italian & Hubbard : In 1937, the Anglo Italian Felt Company merged with S. Hubbard (Canada) Limited to form the Anglo Italian & Hubbard Limited. Based in Montreal, the new company amalgamated Italian and British interests in the woollen felt industry. In 1940, shortly after Italy entered the Second World War, the name of the firm was changed to the Hubbard Felt Company Limited. The federal government (through the Custodian of Enemy Property Bureau) seized control of shares held by Italian shareholders, forcing them out of the company.

After the Second World War, the Hubbard Felt Co. Ltd. began to specialize in fabric dyeing. In 1968, the company changed its name to Hubbard Dyers Ltd. to reflect their changed capacity. Dominion Textile bought Hubbard Dyers Ltd. in 1972 and two years later merged the company with Lana Knit. When Lana Knit closed in 1975, the Hubbard Division moved to Domil Industries.
