Textual records (Électronique) Finding aid 12-238 is an unverified list consisting of box number, file number, file title, volume, and dates. The finding aid is available as a PDF attached to this record. Note that the file numbers reported in the finding aid are different from the file numbers found on the physical file folders found in the boxes. A change in TC's file classification system took place around the time of the transfer of these records to the Archives. It appears that the physical folders retained the old numbering system, while the file list supplied by the department was updated to the new numbering system. While this may appear to be confusing, the contents of the files remained the same, so a search by title or date will lead to the correct content. Ex.: A folder for the 'Interdepartmental Committee on Asbestos' is present in box 2; it's file number reported in the finding aid is 2100-3-5 however the physical folder will be numbered as 1203-5 instead.
