Fonds consists of photographs depicting the No. 2 Platoon, 2nd University contingent, C.E.F., ca. 1915; R.C.C.S. soccer 1 of the 3rd team Canadian Division, France, 5 March 1917; reading room of Beaver Club, London. England, 1940, by A. Louis Jarche, 1915-1940.

The fonds also contains correspondence from Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Grant concerning Professor Graham's Parkin scholarship, his academic career and writing, original, 1926-1941, 1.1 cm (originals, 47 pages); letter from Lord Beaverbrook to Professor Graham in which Lord Beaverbrook deplores the peaceful dismemberment of the British Empire with particular reference to Franklin D. Roosevelt and the desire of the United States to annex Newfoundland, photocopy, 1958, 0.1 cm (photocopy, 1 page).

Fonds also includes a video recording of Stanley Hawes 80th birthday celebrations in 1985.

Graham, Gerald Sandford, 1903- : Gerald Sandford Graham, born in 1903 at Sudbury, Ont., received his education from Queen's University, M.A. 1925, and Cambridge University, Ph.D. 1929. He received a number of academic awards including a Queen's Travelling Fellowship to Harvard University, 1926-1927, the Sir George Parkin Scholarship to Germany, 1929-1930 and a Guggenheim Fellowship to the United States, 1941.

His academic positions include Instructor in History at Harvard University, 1930-1936, Assistant Professor and later Professor of History at Queen's University, 1936-1946, Rhodes Professor of Imperial History at the University of London, 1949-1970 and Visiting Professor of Strategic Studies at the University of Western, Ont.

He has authored numerous books and articles concerning military history, international studies and other historical subjects.
