This album, comprised of 116 pages on which 419 photographs are mounted, is a continuation of album one, consisting of landscapes and people of the North. Photos by L.T. Burwash, special investigator for the Department of the Interior. Burwash was sent on government expeditions to investigate a number of issues, such as wild life, biology, natural resources, as well as an Inuit census. He travelled on a small boat with an Inuit crew. There are photographs of whaling and hunting activities, as well as images of the S.S. Nascopie, both while on board and sighting it from afar. There are many photographs of Rigolette, Labrador, especially the children and Natives who lived there.
