This accession consists of Grand Trunk Railway System land, roadways, structures and equipment valuation documents in ledger format, that were compiled as at January 1, 1920 by J.B. Berry/T/H. Curtis, Consulting Engineers. The records concern the Grand Trunk Railway and its subsidiaries/affiliates and each valuation ledger include comprehensive lists of all System assets, such as bridges, rails, crossings and signs, stations, water and fuel strucutres, shops, wharves and mechanical equipment, their cost new and value as at January 1, 1920, for given sections (e.g. Section 204 - 911.8 miles distance from Winnipeg Union Station to Wolfe Creek Bridge).

Textual records: Some of the ledgers contain mildew; some have suffered some water damage.
