Karl Beveridge (Interviewer)Description :Oral history interview by Carole Condé and Karl Beveridge of Jim Tester, former tool and die worker at General Motors of Canada, Oshawa, Ontario, and union steward of Local 222, United Automobile Workers. Tester talks about his work at G.M., the working conditions at the G.M. plant during World War Two and various union activities including strikes, sitdowns and internal dissention within the union.
