He reminisces about Eldorado's founder Gilbert LaBine, and Marcel Pochon, a chemical engineer who was the first manager of Eldorado's Port Hope, Ont. refinery. French describes uranium sales to U.S. markets; and discusses his own involvement with Boris Pregel, chief salesman of Belgium's Union Minière, and Harry Snyder, a stock promoter, in negotiating a radium price-fixing agreement with Union Minière.
