It begins while a member of the audience is asking a question. The subjects discussed include: the need for transportation subsidies to help with transportation during the winter, when navigation is difficult; the need for transportation subsidies in the Maritimes, Newfoundland and Labrador; the need to make sure consumers benefit from transportation subsidies through such means as lower grocery bills; airport service; the need for icebreakers to prolong the navigation season; the sharp increase in shipping costs because ice-breaking; ice-strengthening adaptations to cargo ships; road construction; the need to improve mail service; the lack of adequate broadcasting reception in Labrador; and providing better Canadian Broadcasting Corporation service to Labrador.
