Sub-series consists of records, 1917-1960, arranged by districts, which include applications for benefits under the Soldier Settlement Act as well as land title appraisal documents, a brief history of the settlers' establishment and transfer of titles where applicable. Title deeds are not included.

The sub-series also includes a ledger apparently created by the Vancouver office of the Soldier Settlement Board (see R1188 volume 406). It contains an alphabetic listing of individuals and the numbers of loans for which they were responsible. A random check of these names indicated that the individuals involved had served in the Canadian military during the First World War. In addition, this sub-series includes a similar ledger (see R1188 volume 408) which also could have been created by the Vancouver office. The ledger is exactly the same in format including the cover, binding and label "Room 1168, Bentham).

Finally, the sub-series includes a loan ledger entitled Saskatoon District Office whose spine is stamped "Soldier Settlement Board" (see R1188, volume 407). It also contains an alphabetic listing of individuals and the loan numbers for which they were responsible. Similarly, a random check of a few of these names indicated that some of the individuals involved had served in the Canadian military during the First World War.
