Fonds consists of textual and graphic documents which were retained by the Canadian Council of Christians and Jews as archival records 1944-1989, files from regional offices such as the Quebec, Atlantic and Pacific offices 1938-1989, records of the National Office such as the Student exchange and Youth Programs, Directors and Executive Committee, correspondence, conference files and scrapbooks 1947-1992.

Canadian Council of Christians and Jews : Since November 1947, the Canadian Council of Christians and Jews has been building bridges amongst the people of Canada. It was founded in response to its highly successful American counterpart, the National Council of Christians and Jews. According to its brochure, the CCCJ is "An association of men and women who seek by understanding among people differing in race, religion and nationality." In the field of race relations it combats prejudice and discrimination evolving from religious, racial, linguistic or cultural intolerance. The CCCJ is a national organization with its headquarters in Toronto. Regional offices and chapters are located in cities and towns across the nation. The national and regional boards of directors are composed of leaders from business and the professions from across Canada. They work together to promote educational understanding among all Canadians and are also engaged in volunteer recruitment. Funding is received from the corporate sector, private individuals and to a limited extent, the federal government. Some of the activities the CCCJ is involved in organizing and sponsoring include: Brotherhood/Sisterhood Week, student exchange programmes, youth conferences, children's art events and messages in the media as well as programming geared to promoting eliminating racial discrimination. It has also sponsored many lectures and study groups.

In 2009 the CCCJ changed its name to the Canadian Centre for Diversity, responding to a growing desire for inclusivity. Unfortunately, within 6 years the CCD announced that it was no longer able to function due to funding issues.
