Series consists of correspondence and memoranda with the International Commission of Health Professionals for Health and Human Rights/Comision internacional de los profesionales de la salud para la Salud y lost Derechos humanos (CINPROS). Dr. Bertell was a founding member of the organization in 1985. The series also contains printed matter such as newsletters, newspaper clippings, pamphlets and kits pertaining to human rights issues in many countries including Canada.

International Commission of Health Professionals for Health and Human Rights : The International Commission of Health Professionals for Health and Human Rights (CINPROS) was founded in Geneva, Switzerland in 1985. It supports health professionals who struggle to protect human rights; promotes the right of health for all; coordinates action with the United Nations, health professionals' associations and other non-governmental organizations; and updates and legitimizes codes of ethics for the health professionals. The organization had an executive board, an executive committee and commission members from many countries of the world. Its standing committees included committees on: Chemical and Biological Warfare, Codes of Health, Professional Ethics, and their implementation; denouncing the participation of health professionals in oppression; international mental health; interventions for Human Rights abuses; Medical Technology, Medical Ethics and Human Rights; on National Sections and Affiliates; Trafficking in Human Organs; and on Rehabilitation of Victims of Torture. The organization dissolved in 1992 following internal financial difficulties.
