Series consists of case files of corporate bodies and private individuals arranged alpha-chronologically, proceedings of commissions of inquiry, records of Ross, Stuart and Stuart, advocates; appeals before the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council and private bills to the Quebec legislature.
Among the major corporate clients, the following are of note: the Attorney General of Canada in an action to expropriate land for a military training camp at St. Gabriel de Valcartier, Quebec County, 1914-1917, vols. 2 and 3; a Royal Commission of Inquiry into the Baie des Chaleurs Railway affair with proceedings and also private records of Gustavus G. Stuart, 1892, vol. 4; Bell Telephone Company, 1891 to 1918, vols. 4 to 10; St. Andrew's Church, 1903-1904, vols. 5 and 6; the Canadian Pacific Railway Company, 1888 to 1916, vols. 10 to 16.
