The purpose of the survey is to collect information on vacation travel patterns. Respondents were asked questions relating to: demographic background, destinations, reasons for travel, mode of travel and plans for travel. The survey is also designed to gather information on attitudes and perceptions of Canada and U.S. as tourist destinations. A new section was added to the main questionnaire which focused on awareness of media advertising campaigns relating to travel and tourism in Canada.
