Detailed information was collected on all trips taken during the quarter by one respondent in each of the selected Canadian households. A trip was defined as a journey of 50 miles or more away from home, originating in one of the ten provinces, and ending between April 1st and June 30th (inclusive), 1979. This person-trips file (PTRIP) contains one record for each trip reported in the sample and it also contains the demographic information of the person reporting the trip.
