Sub-sub-series consists of copies of letters both to and from the British Treasury. The texts of correspondence received from the Treasury, 1793-1805 (vols. 1-2) and addressed to the Treasury, 1796-1834 (vols. 3-7) were recorded in entry books. The texts of enclosures are noted but not generally recorded in full. Subjects include leaves of absence and salaries of government officials, the purchase of supplies necessary to victual the troops, the administration of Indian stores, and the public accounts of the colony. Volume 1 includes some correspondence addressed to the Governor of Lower Canada. The entry books are not indexed.

(Papier) The CAB RG 7 Shelf List (see RG 7, G16B section) is a typed volume level description which provides volume titles and inclusive dates and corresponding microfilm reel number. CAB RG 7 Shelf List (90: Ouvert)

(Papier) David W. Parker's description of "G" Series volumes 359 to 365 in his Guide to the Documents in the Manuscript Room at the Public Archives of Canada, volume 1, page 62, provides a volume by volume description of the records in this sub-sub-series.

(Papier) Finding Aid MSS690 provides a conversion list for all of Parker's now obsolete "G" Series references. MSS690
