The papers of Arthur Wellington Clah were purchased from his family, ca.1910, by Sir Henry Solomon Wellcome (1853-1936), the son of a missionary to the Dakota Indians, who was a benefactor of the Tsimshian Indians and a founding partner in the chemicals and pharmaceuticals firm of Burroughs, Wellcome & Co. They are now in the possession of the Wellcome Institute for the History of Medicine, London, England, where they are catalogued among the Western Manuscripts as WMS American 140 (1-72).

The Wellcome Institute for the History of Medicine also holds some miscellaneous jottings, 1900-1902, in a diary for 1900 kept by Clah's son, Albert Wellington Clah, who visisted Metlakahtla, Port Simpson, Vancouver, and Victoria, British Columbia (WMS American 141).)
