See microfilm reel A-852.Provenance :Nom(s) additionnel(s) :Biographie/Histoire administrative :Mann, Gother, 1747-1830 (family) : Gother Mann (1747-1830) joined the Royal Engineers in 1763. From 1783 to 1791 he was commanding engineer in Canada with the rank of captain. He was promoted major-general in 1803, lieutenant-general in 1810 and Inspector General of Fortifications, 1811.Information additionnelle :Note générale :Report, 1788, copied from a copy held by Mr. Herrington of Napanee which was made from a copy in the Simcoe papers.
