Ruccius, presidential reports, minutes of Synod meetings, circulars of the Evangelical Lutheran Synod of Manitoba, miscellaneous reports, records relating to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Regina, Sask. and the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Victoria, B.C., anniversary booklets, German Lutherans in Western Canada, and general reports.Provenance :Biographie/Histoire administrative :Bergbusch, Julius Ernst, 1896-1982 : A graduate of Barman Seminary, Westphalia, Germany, Julius Ernst Bergbusch, minister of religion, was called to Canada in 1926 by the Evangelical Lutheran Synod of Manitoba and other provinces. During the same year, he married Maria Ruccius daughter of Rev. Martin Ruccius, founder of the Synod, and became the Synod's travelling missionary from Manitoba.
In 1929, he accepted a call from St. Paul's Church, Rolly View, Alberta. He remained there until 1936, when he went to serve St. Matthew's Church, Spruce Grove, Alberta. Mr. Bergbusch was elected Synod president in 1946, and held this pastorate until 1955, when he accepted a call from Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Victoria, B.C.
