0.03 cm of textual records : photostats.Langue du document :anglaisPortée et contenu :Admiralty 7 comprises 773 volumes of subject files gathered under the auspices of the Secretary's Department for the period 1563 to 1871. The National Archives of Canada has acquired selections from ADM 7 dealing mainly with the search for the Franklin expedition and the naval defence of British North America. Volumes 191-200, available on reels B-5329 to B-5338, consists of correspondence, reports, journals, maps, press clippings, sketches, etc. relating to the search for Franklin's party. Volumes 624 to 626 and 689 contain material on the defence of Canada, 1845 to 1862; defences on the US-Canada frontier, 1845; description and map of Newfoundland, 1677, on microfilm reel B-2312.
The photostats from volume 198 consist of excerpts from the journal kept in 1853 by Lieutenant Bedford C.T.
