Fonds consists of memoirs written by Morrison containing a brief description of his childhood and early life but consisting chiefly of an incomplete account of the formation of the Drury government of 1919, and an essay regarding the life and times of Robert Morrison, 1930, 1980, 3 cm; and articles regarding the Morrison memoirs published in Saturday Night by R.A. Farquharson who had been a reporter in 1919 and had read the memoirs, articles are entitled, "When Sir Adam Beck tried to be Premier" and "The Rise and Fall of the U.F.Q.", 1952, 0.3 cm.

Morrison, James J., 1861-1936 : James J. Morrison, known also as "J.J.", was born in 1861 near Arthur, Canada West. He worked as a salesman until 1900 when he returned to the family farm. A member of the Patrons of Industry, he joined the Ontario Grange in 1907. In 1914, he helped plan the development of the United Farmers of Ontario, and was secretary from 1914 until 1933. He declined the premiership in 1919 and nominated E.C. Drury who was Premier of Ontario from 1919 until 1923.
