Fonds consists of the daily records of the business of the Rideau Kennel Club, a diary, expense records, shares, reports, investment correspondence and real estate records.

Fonds also includes of photographs of the return of the First Canadian Contingent from the South African War, Ottawa, Ont., 1900; buildings of the Hull Lumber Co., Ostaboningue, Quebec, ca. 1900; Sparks Street, Ottawa, Ont., 1901; Rideau River, Canal and Billings Bridge, Ottawa, Ont.; Wakefield and Montreal, Quebec; Kingston, Ont.; tercentenary celebrations, Quebec, 1908; shots by P.G. Keyes; portraits of Vida and Elizabeth Nugent, Ottawa, Ont.; and shots by William James Topley, J.G. Topley and A.G. Pittaway.

The fonds also contains two 16 mm films. The first film (ISN 498739) was made as a documentary. It provides spectacular views of City of Vancouver from the ocean, views of Canadian Pacific and Hudson Bay Co.'s buildings, views of Rocky Mountains (glacier Columbia or Athabasca) and parks in Alberta, several views of logging cut, of a worker climbing and cutting a large pine tree, and views of wood transportation by truck and by wagon. The second film (ISN 498740) was made as a Canadian fiction feature which show a trip story from Ottawa to the wild forest. This film is very interesting because it shows the Corliss Keyes' interest in filmmaker. It contains a "professional scenario", actors and comedy. The first image present the film title "Lost in the Wilds of Canada" with name Corliss Keyes as productor, Hop Hopkins as director, Ed. Banfield as photographer and a generic of actors with their real and fictive names. We think that these people were probably members of amateur clubs. After presenting the generic, the film begin by showing scenes of the Keyes Supply Co. building, views of driving by car from Ottawa streets (on Rideau Street and Wellington) to rural roads until reaching the wild forest of the North of Outaouais. The actors went to a camp where they spent time for fishing, eating and canoeing.

Keyes, Perley George, 1853-1913 : Perley was born on February 15, 1853. He was a public servant in the Department of the Interior in Ottawa, a small businessman, and landlord. He had many other interests, including horticulture, amateur photography and dog breeding. He founded a company named KEYES SUPPLY COMPANY LTD., with a head office in Ottawa and branch offices in Kingston, North Bay and Belleville, Cornwall, Sudbury and Kirkland Lake. He died in May 27, 1913 and his son Corlis Gosnell Keyes (born 6 Apr 1880, died 4 Feb 1960) continued the business and the photo-amateur activities of his father. Both were members of amateur clubs in Ottawa.
