Fonds consists of textual records, 1918-1971: a logbook, 1918-1919, 1927-1929, with entries for training and instruction flights in England and later in Canada letters, 1933-1971, concerned mainly with early B.C. aviation and administrative matters; lists of early aircraft flown in B.C., speeches on aviation, newspaper extracts, training and discharge certificates; five pilot licenses valid for the years 1927-1938, 1948-1960; two air engineer's certificates dated 1928 and 1931; and a file containing photocopies of photographs transferred to the Documentary Art and Photography Division.

Fonds also contains four short films entitled: Airmen at garden party, 1936; Vancouver air show, 1936; Number III Squadron - RCAF Auxiliary at summer camp, 1936; Royal visit, 1939.

Fonds also consists of one photograph of aircraft of British Columbia Airways Ltd. Remaining photographs have been deaccessioned to Canada's Aviation Hall of Fame, Wetaskiwin, AB.

Wilson, Arthur Haliburton, 1899- : Arthur H. Wilson, aviator, born in England, served with the Royal Naval Air Service during World War I. In 1923 he came to Canada where he became a pilot instructor first for B.C. Airways and then for the Aero Club of British Columbia. Commissioned in 1933 in the R.C.A.F. Auxiliary, he joined Vancouver II Squadron, taking command in 1937. On the outbreak of World War II, Wilson took this squadron into active service. He later commanded No. 10 and No. 4 Flight Training schools.

After leaving the service, Wilson joined the Airways Section of the Department of Transport, Vancouver Region. He retired in 1965.
