The descriptions of his career in the C.A.M.C. are brief and deviod of descriptions of his hospital work. Most of his diary entries on this phase of his career consist of personal musings, detailed descriptions of his recreational pursuits and brief and numerous descriptions of officers of the Corps. When he transferred to the Royal Flying Corps, his diary entries become lengthier. He describes in detail his training as a flyer, his initial training postings and his permanent posting in 1918 to a seaplane in Torino (Italy).Provenance :Biographie/Histoire administrative :Lucas, George Kendall, 1897-1932 : George Kendall Lucas, born in 1897, and had a career in the Canadian Military. He served two different posts in the Canadian army. One post was Assistant Quartermaster in the Ontario Military Hospital, Canadian Army Medical Corps (C.A.M.C.), and the other post was as a flyer in the Royal Flying Corps (R.F.C.).
Lucas held various training postings initially with the R.F.C. of which few details are known. In 1918, he was permanently posted to a seaplane in Torino (Italy). During his brief posting there, he was a R.F.C. spotter of Austro-Hungarian fleet.
