Fonds consists of personal files containing minutes of meetings, correspondence, memoranda and printed material relating to B'nai Brith Canada's League for Human Rights activities in Quebec. Topics include labelling of Kosher packaged food into French, Sunday store closing in Quebec, 1983-1984, Jewish education in Quebec, the Quebec Human Rights Code, the Jewish community's relations with the provincial government, Quebec language legislation and the Jewish community, LHR anti-hate propaganda sections of the Criminal Code of Canada, 1887-1986, B'nai Brith Canada's position on the new Constitution, 1981-1983, District Administrative Board meetings, 1977-1983 and the LHR Eastern Region.

Crestohl, Harvey, 1932- : Harvey Crestohl, community leader, was born in Montreal and has practiced law in Quebec since 1957. He is past president of B'nai Brith Canada and a vice-president of B'nai Brith International. He played a leading role in the campaign at the 1980 B'nai Brith International Convention which resulted in the creation of B'nai Brith Canada as an overseas district. As a member of the Joint Community Relations Committee, he helped formulate the official position of the Jewish community on Quebec language legislation. He played a leading role in the preparation of briefs submitted by B'nai Brith Canada to the Quebec government.
