General note:

Accession consists of plans and drawings dealing with the installation and building of piers, retaining walls, bridges, tunnels, cables, power lines, floats, and sewers; with the removal of sand and gravel; and with dumping and log chutes in or on navigable waters.

This Act is now administered by Transport Canada, and the files were passed to Transport Canada where they went into a new classification, ranging from file 8200-1900 to 8200-5600.

Custodial history:

Accession was transferred from the Department of Transport in 1978 to Government Archives Division. The material was subsequently transferred to the Cartographic and Architectural Division in October 1988. The drawings were pulled from the files by Transport Canada after the files were microfilmed, verified and destroyed, in accordance with microfilm submission M-3-76.
