General note:

The accession consists of textual materials which had been attached or accompanied cartographic/drawings materials and which were explanatory or descriptive of the cartographic/drawings intent and meaning.

Custodial history:

The records were found by Cartographic archivists in the process of packing their area for an upcoming move. It is believed that the documents were originally received in May 1993 as part of a accession received from the Railway/Commodity Pipelines Branch of the Transportaion Safety Board and accompanied maps and plans originally submitted to the Railway Committee of the Privy Council. At some time after their arrival at the then-National Archives of Canada, these documents were alienated from the remainder of the accession, which is now catalogued as MIKAN 34361.
