Scope and content:

This series reflects the numerous literary and artistic events that Denise Desautels participated in or organized over the course of her career as a poet, such as symposia, festivals, book fairs, writer meetings, performances, exhibitions, artist residencies or tours. Among the most important are the show Trajectoires presented by Lucie Grégoire Danse between 2001 and 2002; the Sommerfest der Literaturen held in Berlin in 2002; a writing residency in Rennes in 2005; the Paris Poetry Market, which she participated in many times; and several editions of the Festival international de la poésie de Trois-Rivières and the Poètes de l'Amérique française recitals. The series includes drafts of communications and conferences, notes and working documents, press clippings, programs, invitations, posters, press releases and photographs that reflect her involvement in literary and artistic life in Quebec and elsewhere, particularly in Paris, where she regularly stayed, but also her influence in these circles. These documents are divided into two subseries, the first covering events in Quebec and Canada and the second covering events abroad.
