Scope and content:

This sous-fonds consists of primarily non-photographic material relating to Candaian and international railway and marine transportation companies collected by A.A. Merrilees (although some photographs are intermixed). This includes:

Railway Passes
Technical drawings
Architectural drawings
Maps and profile plans
Marine logbooks relating to the Welland, Rideau and Trent Valley canals
Canadian and international publications

There is a collection of microfilmed copies of locomotive diagrams from the H.K. Porter Company.

Some miscellaneous company records are also available, including Mossom Boyd Company.

An additional transportation collection of timetables, tourist booklets, and other railway-related grey literature can be found in the National Library catalogue.
