This sub-series consists of the records created and maintained by the Rt. Hon. Stephen Harper in his role as Leader of Her Majesty's Loyal Opposition and party leader of the Conservative Party of Canada (CPC).

The scope of the records include, but is not limited to, the following subjects and activities: tour and scheduling; campaign management, advertising, and event planning; caucus business and development; candidate selection; the Canadian Alliance party and the creation of the Conservative Party of Canada; party and constituency personnel; the federal electoral district (riding) of Calgary Southwest; current affairs and issues; Question Period preparation; opposition research; and stakeholder development.

The types of records include, but are not limited to: speeches; event profiles; correspondence; phone call briefings and documentation; meeting notes and reports; memoranda; press releases; guest lists; householder documentation; checklists; research, planning, and background documentation; personal notes; photographs; and a sound recording.
