The series consists of eight albums of press clippings that document the career of Maurice Richard as an amateur and a professional hockey player, as well as his public activities during his career and after his retirement. The majority of the documents relate to his professional and public life as a member of the Montreal Canadiens hockey club from 1942 to 1960.

The albums were compiled by his wife, Lucille Richard, mainly from Montréal daily newspapers at the time, but also from Canadian and foreign newspapers and magazines. The album of press clippings from 1944 to 1954 contains Maurice Richard's Tour du chapeau columns published in the Samedi-dimanche weekly from 1952 to 1954.

The series also includes a few photos and two telegrams.
