The photographs include students attending the St. Paul's Indian Residential School in Cardston, Alberta in 1928; photographs of a trip and visit to Aklavik (1931-32) by Anne Swain; locals and visitors to Herschel Island, [ca. 1932]-1933; Photographs taken aboard the RCMP Schooner St. Roch in ca. 1932; photographs from St. John's Indian Residential school near Chapleau, Ontario; photographs of people and events at an indigenous camp near the Athabaska River, ca. 1916; photographs from a Group A Portage on the Peace River, ca. 1921; early views of Fort McMurray, Fort Smith, Peace River, Fort Fitzgerald, boat building in Form Smith, the constructions of the Portage Road, and Governor General Tweedsmuir's 1934 visit to the North.
