This album contains photographic records showing the progress of urban developments and construction projects of the Federal District Commission in the City of Ottawa from 1927 to 1932, although some photos may date as early as 1924.

Included are photographs showing construction and development of the Confederation Park area, the Canal Drive (renamed the Queen Elizabeth Drive), Ottawa Centre, Hull, Fontaine Park, Monument Val-Tetreau, Rideau, Ottawa, Rockcliffe, and the Champlain Bridge.

Credited photographers include the Canadian Government Motion Picture Bureau, the Public Works Department (Ottawa), Department of Immigration and Colonization, R.A.F., Pittaway's Photo Studio, Alan K. Hay, and Hands Photography Studio.
