Accession consists of records created and/or maintained by the Campbell River District Office (formerly known as the North Island District Office) of Indian and Northern Affairs Canada and its predecessors. Predecessors include the Kwawkewlth Agency. The accession includes but is not limited to records relating to: individual case files for estates and guardianship; economic development including enclosure, industrial and business development, arts and crafts and Indian Economic Development Fund (I.E.D.F.); education including policy, continuing education, nominal rolls, financial assistance, surveys and studies, employment of teachers, training and mobility, cultural affairs, school buildings and transportation; social development including databases, adult care, community social services, evaluations, income support, appeals, health services, care of children and rehabilitation services.
