Series consists of photographs and artwork relating to the life and career of Sir Sandford Fleming.
There is one album containing photographs documenting the survey of 1871 for the construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway from Fort Garry, Manitoba to Jasper House (see file entitled Canadian Pacific Railway survey - Fort Garry to Jasper House) .
Series also has one album containing photographs depicting construction of the Lake Superior district of Ontario Canadian Pacific Railway line, the last section to be laid. (see file entitled Canadian Pacific Railway construction - Lake Superior).

Woodelton of Albany, Australia depicting aborigines of Western Australia, 1839.
With regards to the art, there is: a portrait of Sir Sandford Fleming by John Wycliffe Lowes Forester (1850-1938); print of a Toronto Mechanics Institute Certificate presented to Fleming, 7 June 1849; print depicting St. James Cathedral and King Street, Toronto, 1848; illuminated address presented to Fleming on his 80th birthday, 7 January 1907; 2 Pompeii wall designs by an unknown artist; landscape drawing of a scene among the Thousand Islands by Fleming, based on a print by William Bartlett; and a print depicting Alberni Harbour, Nanaimo, B.C., dated October 1872.
