The records in this accession reflect only certain activities of the Office. They document senior management committee meetings, policy making, interaction with parliament and the Standing Joint Committee on Official Languages, and aspects of adult and children's educational programs delivered through the Communications Branch. There are also legal opinions related to the role of the Office in preservating legislated linguistic equality.
The records with archival value include letters of opinion, correspondence, minutes and agendas of senior management meetings, legal opinions and several files of correspondence, memoranda, and internal reports documenting the development of children's games designed to increase awareness of linguistic diversity.
