Collection search - Central registry files of first National Research Council and Block Numeric Classification System [textual record]

Accession consists of files from the first and the block file classification systems at the National Research Council. From the first system are files from the 2 block (Mechanical Engineering - including correspondence, research, etc); 32 block (War 1939 - including liaison with other departments, documents received from England, etc); 45 block (Radio and Electrical Engineering Division - including research into radar and other issues, etc); Block 48 (Division of Applied Chemistry); etc. From the block numeric system, files from the Divison of Chemistry (5000-5499 block - including various research projects); Division of Biological Sciences (7000-7199 block) and the Computation Centre (8100-8199 block) have been transferred.
