General note:

The Canada Centre for Space Science was created in the late 1970s, out of the former Space Research Facilities Branch. In 1989, the CCSS was replaced by the Canadian Space Agency, a separate institution.
Accession consists of files from the second National Research Council filing system related to the Space Science Division (the 4200-4255 file block). Included are files related to agreements; committees (for example the RADARSAT program committee); licences and permits; equipment and supplies; development and planning; experiments (for example, microgravity, EXOS-D, Oedipus A); correspondence; liaison files with other countries/government departments (for example NASA, France); etc.
