This accession contains operational and administrative files created by the Yellowknife office for the period 1960-1988. These files cover a great variety of subjects: transfer of responsibility, federal legislation, clubs and associations, ceremonies, interministerial committees, conferences, cooperation and liaison, buildings, project portfolios (protection of caribou, oil exploration, etc.) land administration, mining company files, hydro-electric development, threatened bird species, management of subsidies to native groups, job creation, etc.

These records were originally housed in Edmonton, but were later transferred to British Columbia. They were transferred again in 2016 and are now located in the National Capital Region and are available for consultation there.
