Scope and content:

Photographs from this file were taken during Rosemary Gilliat's trip on the Trans-Canada Highway which she took with three of her girlfriends, Audrey James, Anna Brown and Helen Salkeld during the summer of 1954. They left Ottawa on July 31st and travelled through Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and reached British Columbia on August 16th. They left the west coast on August 25th and returned to Ottawa on September 5th. Most of the photographs from this file were described using Rosemary's personal diary in which she wrote daily.
