Litigation files were organized into four types. "A"-prefix files deal with general lititgation. "B"-prefix files deal with land cases, including property disputes. "C"-prefix files deal with petitions of rights (statements of claims). "D"-prefix deal with litigation disputes in Quebec. The contents of the files consist of correspondence, memoranda, legal documents such as Releases, and statements of expenditures from Justice and other departmental staff as well as lawyers in private practice.
