Notes from former database: "This map describes in detail the events of the Battle of Ste Foy in 1760. The movements of the various regiments are indicated and there is a written account of the battle beneath the map. The LAC holds a French map of this battle and it is worthy of note that this English map more accurately depicts the activity on the flanks where the French attacked most strongly. The French map ignores this feature of the battle. As a military exercise this battle was better fought than the battle on the Plains of Abraham in 1759, but the battle of Ste Foy has received much less notoriety. The English lost this battle, but the outcome was quickly reversed with the early arrival of the British fleet."
LAC holds two copies of this map: the original by Patrick Mackellar, described here, and a manuscript copy drawn by John Turner in 1763 (NMC 1897; 4193529).
