The files in this sub-series will cover a wide variety of different subject matters. While there will be files dealing with such subjects as Health Care, the Gun Registry, Indian Affairs and the Kyoto Accord, to name a few, the material consists of general correspondence and does not usually contain additional background information. In cases where files contain briefing books, the information has been included in parentheses as part of the file title. As much of the correspondence in this sub-series is from the general Canadian public, the material does provide a good sampling of the differing public opinions on different topics. The sub-series also contains correspondence of a more personal nature and will have numerous files containing birthday wishes, Christmas cards and copies of personal messages sent by Paul Martin to individuals and/or organizations on special occasions.
