Image depicts the death of General Wolfe at the Plains of Abraham, Quebec in 1759. The dying general is shown seated, with two men kneeling beside him and a third standing behind and gesturing. The standing man is gesturing toward an officer who approaches from the left, holding his hat in the air.
Taped to the verso, there is a photocopied reproduction of the image from a catalogue: "Old Print Shop Pf. vol. 18, 1958 p. 129".
This print was acquired sometime before the initial cataloguing date of 10/8/21, written on the verso.
